Ivaylo S. Ivanov

Vice President, Hotel Operations at Okada Manila

Mr. Ivanov has over 15 years of international experience in the hospitality industry with a well proven track record of managing luxury hotel and resort operations in Europe, USA, The Caribbean and Asia. 

Ivaylo started his successful career in his home country – Bulgaria, in Food & Beverage department and worked his way up to the General Manager position of 55 rooms and suites resort in Golden Sands, Bulgaria.  In 2005, he relocated to USA and shortly after joined the ultra-luxurious 5 star, 5 diamond Raffles L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, California with his last assignment as a Rooms Division Manager.

In 2010, Ivaylo decided to broaden his experience on a larger scale and joined Royal Caribbean International as Division Head of Housekeeping. He successfully managed all 2704 guest staterooms and luxury suites on the worlds’ largest cruise ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.

In 2013, Ivaylo joined The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel as Executive Manager/Associate Director, where he was highly involved in developing strategies and plans to ensure continuous improvement of guest satisfaction and operational efficiencies. 

In his current role at Okada Manila, Mr. Ivanov oversees the pre-opening operations of Guest Services, Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Spa, Hotel Sales and Marketing, Call Center and Reservations, Transportation, Wardrobe and Floral Department. He develops strategies along with the rest of the division heads to ensure efficient pre-opening and post opening operations of the biggest integrated resort in the Philippines.  Ivaylo is also a member of the company’s executive committee and directly reports to the Chief Operating Officer. 

Mr. Ivanov holds hospitality management diplomas from Swiss Management School in Switzerland and Hoge Hotel School in Netherlands. He also has successfully completed multiple executive leadership programs with Cornell University School of Hotel Administration in New York City and Harvard’s Manage Mentor.
